In the lap of beautiful landscapes lies this beautiful valley with almost 360 degree view. This is a small village where lepcha

communities lives. It is totally an offbeat destination and its less explored. From this valley you can experience the majestic view of

Mt Kanchenjunga and the night view is just awesome.

Duka Valley is situated in Kagay Khasmahal it has 3 roads connection

1) If you want to explore your 4×4 vehicle or ride on

bike on offroad then surely take this route from Kagay (Gerock) its really an adventure ride, the road is not completed so you will

riding on bumping road.

2) The other road is from Algarah you can straightly take a right turn from NH 717A.

3) The next road that connects this valley is from 22nd mile this is the best recommended route it falls on the way to Pedong to

Algarah road, this is a scenic road where you can experience the village lifestyle, the twist and turn road gives a spectacular view.

After half an hour ride you will find a beautiful Duka Fall. It is a seasonal waterfall it has four steps but only two steps is visible and

other two steps are hidden in dense forest. From road you will see one step but when you step forward and walk till Shivalaya

Temple then the two step fall is visible. On the middle of the forest the falls separate two Khasmahal, Kagay Khasmahal and

Tandrabong Khasmahal. Nearby this falls there is a small park where you can feel the green environment just sit back and

enjoy the peaceful view with bird chirping and the sound of rolling water from rocks and its a best place for bird watching.

There is also a small restuarant where you can get organic fresh momo Thukpa, Tea and Coffee and more. After visiting this fall

take a same road toward Duka Valley its just 10 mins of ride from this fall, dont skip this place many tourist driver ignore this place.

If you ignore then you will surely miss this beautiful valley.

Duka Valley is located in the middle of the hills one side is pedong other side is kagay and in the front is Rhenock (East Sikkim) The

view is just amazing where ever you turn you see a green hills filled with settlements. the view from Duka school is just awesome.

There are some props built for visitors you can sit back and enjoy the view and take an awesome photograph. If you are lucky

enough when the skies are blue and the mountain are visible then surely you will see the panoramic view of Mt Kanchenjunga.

Home stays is the best place to stay where you can experience organic food cooked in fire. There are

some luxury stay which may cost you around 2000- 3000 as per season, whereas homestay are much affordable

with cozy rooms and Nepali cuisine. Tongba is the best beverage found in this place you must try when you visit.
